Consumer Questions

If you own an electric vehicle and would like to make a reservation to rent a charger.

Do I have to pay up-front?

Short answer: A deposit may be required to secure your reservation.

Providers have the flexibility to establish their own deposit and cancellation fees, recognizing the diverse landscapes in which their services operate. The ability to set these fees stems from the widely varying demand and supply dynamics across different locations.

In remote, low-traffic areas, where providers may face challenges in securing bookings, setting lower deposit and cancellation fees can incentivize customers to commit to their services. If a reservation doesn't show up, the impact (while still negative) is low.

Conversely, in bustling city centers where demand is high, providers will generally implement stricter policies as once a reservation is made, no other bookings can be secured for that time slot, resulting in potential losses if the reservation is a no-show.

This adaptability ensures that providers can tailor their fee structures to the unique circumstances of their operating environment, striking a balance between customer convenience and their own sustainability.

Can I cancel or change my reservation?

Short answer: You can cancel without penalties if it's more than 4 hours out, otherwise you may have to pay a cancellation fees to the provider.

Changing a reservation simply means cancelling it and rebooking it for another time.

To maintain a fair and efficient reservation system, users are typically allowed to modify or cancel their bookings without any penalties only if the request is made more than 4 hours before the scheduled time.

This policy serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it ensures that providers have sufficient time to adjust their schedules and accommodate changes without causing disruptions. Secondly, it encourages users to make decisions with reasonable foresight, promoting a smoother operational flow for service providers. Additionally, this time window strikes a balance between user flexibility and the need for providers to manage their resources effectively, allowing the reservation time slot to be opened back up for other potential users. While it might limit last-minute changes, it helps uphold the reliability and predictability of the reservation system for both parties involved.

What if I have to cancel within less than 4 hours?

We understand that travel plans can be unpredictable. We encourage you to make the cancellation as soon as you can. In these cases generally the provider has little time to rebook your reservation slot with another customer.

Since you would have already paid the deposit and cancellation fee as set by the provider, your account will not be charged for anything else.

What if the host changes the price after I've made a reservation?

Just like with AirBnB or hotel reservations, once you book at a certain price, that price is locked in and guaranteed until you've checked out. If the host decides to increase the price during that time, it would only apply to new reservations only, and not existing ones.

Provider Questions

If you own an electric vehicle charger and would like to rent it out for people to use.

How many locations and chargers can I have?

Short answer: As many as you'd like.

You can be a homeowner that owns your own personal charger, or a business owner that owns one or more chargers in the parking lot, or a business with tens of chargers.

How often do I get paid?

Short answer: Every 7 days for finalized payments.

Whenever a customer pays for the service, the transcation can take up to 2-3 days to finalize. This is outside of our control. Transactions and funds that are still pending cannot be paid out until finalized. Any pending transactions will get added to the next week's payout.
